Softball Recap: Uniontown Has No Trouble Against Ringgold

After only two runs in their last contest, Uniontown made sure to put some runs up on the board against Ringgold on Wednesday. The Red Raiders were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Rams. The Red Raiders not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 12th.

Emmaleigh Noah made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Graci Rodeheaver, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Lauren White was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Uniontown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Uniontown's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Ringgold, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.
