It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Gulliver Prep Raiders can now relate to. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 41-14 to Monsignor Pace, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. It was the first time this season that Gulliver Prep let down their fans at home.
Gulliver Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Whitehouse, who rushed for 102 yards on only 14 carries. Whitehouse was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards.
Even if they lost, Gulliver Prep's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Brandon Rosenthal.
Gulliver Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Monsignor Pace, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Gulliver Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Monsignor Pace will head out on the road to face off against Norland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Norland is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
