Coweta will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Catoosa at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close game.
Coweta might have drawn first blood against Tahlequah last Friday, but it was Tahlequah who got the last laugh. Coweta fell to Tahlequah 37-47. It was a tough break for Coweta, who improved upon an already decent score from the game before but lost both times.
Meanwhile, everything went Catoosa's way against Glenpool as they made off with a 48-22 win. The success made it back-to-back wins for Catoosa.
Catoosa's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Coweta's loss dropped them down to 0-2. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Coweta and Catoosa will really light up the scoreboard.
