AA District 5 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Sweetwater and Tyner Academy played the most hotly contested game in AA District 5 this week, with Sweetwater eventually emerging with a 21-20 victory.
McMinn Central made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,558 from 6,509. The improvement was the result of 28-18 victory over the Chargers last week.
Sequoyah's Brett King and Garrett Dalton have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. King has thrown for 1592 yards this season, while Dalton, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 22 catches for 487 yards. McMinn Central's Denzell Boyd leads the league in rushing yards with 1338.
