 On the hitting side,  Brooklyn Dye was  incredible,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  triples, three  runs,  and  an  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Elly Tancayo, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 3-for-4.
 Cimarron's victory was  their eighth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 13-2. As for Lakin,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-7.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cimarron beat Lakin by a score of  17-2 later that day.
