The Mount Tabor Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat R.J. Reynolds 77-42 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Mount Tabor has managed all season.
Despite the loss, R.J. Reynolds still got an impressive performance from Antoine Jones Jr., who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Jones Jr. scored a full 31% of R.J. Reynolds' points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Mount Tabor back to even at 2-2. As for R.J. Reynolds, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Tabor will stay at home for another game and welcome North Surry at 2:00 p.m. on December 19th. North Surry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Mount Tabor is ranked 127th). R.J. Reynolds will be home for the holidays to greet Carver at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carver has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 214 points over their last three matches.
