They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Seeger 33-3 on the road. Considering Lafayette Central Catholic has won seven matchups by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Lafayette Central Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bobby Metzger led the charge by rushing for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 86 yards and a touchdown. Jackson Cain got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The win was the eighth in a row for Lafayette Central Catholic, bringing their record for this year to 9-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.9 points per game. As for Seeger, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Lafayette Central Catholic will look to defend their home field on Friday against LaVille at 7:30 p.m. LaVille is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. Seeger does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
