Tulare Union is 0-4 against Frontier since March of 2018 but things could change on Saturday. The Tribe will take on the Titans in a tournament on Saturday.
Tulare Union saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 8-4 to Paraclete.
Jaksyn Freitas made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Frontier got the win against Independence on Friday by a conclusive 13-5. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Aubriana Resendiz tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Frontier let Bailey Freeborn and Tanisha Escarcega run wild. Freeborn went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Escarcega went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Freeborn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Strange, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Frontier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .629. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Independence only posted an OBP of .360.
The win made it two in a row for Frontier and bumps their season record up to 11-1. As for Tulare Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Tulare Union has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.5 hits per game. However, it's not like Frontier struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tulare Union couldn't quite finish off Frontier in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Tribe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
