Roberson enjoyed a cozy 70-56 win over the Black Hawks on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
T.C. Roberson was led to victory by Jacob McGraw and Max McDowell. McGraw almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds, while McDowell scored 25 points along with six assists and two steals. McDowell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Caleb Mooney was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Several Black Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trent Clark, who scored 20 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Brown, who scored 16 points.
T.C. Roberson is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for North Buncombe, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. T.C. Roberson will take on the Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Declan Brown and McDowell. As for North Buncombe, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Titans at 7:30 p.m. McDowell presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Black Hawks in North Carolina (the Titans are ranked 110th, while the Black Hawks are ranked 345th).
