Rocklin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Archbishop Mitty 3-2.
Rocklin was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (102-97), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 16-25, 16-25, 25-21, 15-10.

Rocklin found their leader in sophomore Sophie Burns, who had 11 digs and three aces. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Burns.
Meanwhile, Mater Dei and Sierra Canyon (ranked third and second in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile contest on Tuesday. The Monarchs came out on top against the Trailblazers by a score of 3-1.
Mater Dei had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-10, 25-22, 25-16.
Rocklin better keep an eye on Sam Capinpin. She was instrumental in Mater Dei's win, getting 17 assists and five digs. With that strong performance, Capinpin is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game. Jael Smith also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Mater Dei's victory bumped their record up to 34-5. As for Rocklin, their win bumped their record up to 37-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's matchup: Rocklin has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.8 aces per game.
