The Mountain View Mountain Lions's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They really took it to Skyline for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-23 victory at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Mountain View considering their 25-point performance the matchup before.
Meghan Keil was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brie Matchett, who scored ten points.
Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Skyline, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will face off against Thompson Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Thompson Valley is ranked 87th, while Mountain View is ranked 82nd). As for Skyline, they will head out on the road to square off against Fort Morgan at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fort Morgan comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
