AAAAA Region 7A recap October 29, 2013
Creekview added to the longest winning streak in AAAAA Region 7A this week by beating Forsyth Central, 21-17. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Grizzlies.
Creekview and the Bulldogs played the closest game in the league this week, with Creekview eventually emerging with a 21-17 victory. Kyle Wilkie threw for 173 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 12 yards during the win.
Cambridge's dynamic duo of Bryan Moore and Hunter Smith proved to be unstoppable against North Springs, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Moore threw for 332 yards and 3 touchdowns and Smith had 199 yards receiving. Kyle McDougall helped Cambridge's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 66 yards.
Northview's Dj Pearson and Matty Biondich have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Pearson has thrown for 2,094 yards this season, while Biondich has 62 catches for 944 yards. Isaiah Rodgers from Terry Crowder's team leads the league in rushing with 670 yards.
Biondich of the the Titans' is a few catches away from breaking 1,000 yards for the season. He needs only 56 receiving yards in this week's game against Forsyth Central to get there. He has recorded 62 catches for 944 yards this year.
A big matchup in AAAAA Region 7A this week will be when Sequoyah takes on the Bears. As it stands, the Chiefs are in first, while Cambridge is in fourth.
The Spartans lost to Craig Bennett's team 52-23 last week, the largest margin of any game.
