In what's become a running theme this season, the Rio Vista Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Valley Mills 68-32 at home. The win was familiar territory for Rio Vista who now have six in a row.
Rio Vista's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Blaine Briscoe led the charge by scoring 25 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Briscoe has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Shamar Richburg, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Rio Vista's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-12. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.2 points per game. As for Valley Mills, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-18.
Rio Vista will head out on the road to face off against the Polar Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley Mills, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
