TCAL Division I - District 2 (6 Man) recap Oct. 30, 2012
Allen Academy extended the longest winning streak in TCAL Division I - District 2 (6 Man) this week by beating Live Oak Classical, 67-42. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Methodist Children's Home took down BVCHEA HomeSchool 57-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dalton Sparks threw for 105 yards and one touchdown and ran for 90 yards in the win.
The Falcons' dynamic duo of Paul McCaw and Calvin Hill proved tough for Allen Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. McCaw threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns and Hill had 108 yards receiving. Philip Moffatt helped Live Oak Classical's passing attack out by catching two balls for 82 yards.
Benjamin Pace made the biggest impact on defense this week as Live Oak Classical fell to Jason Jolly's team. The 5-foot-10 junior forced one fumble.
Mason Schieffer was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 190 yards as the Rams fell to the Rams. Teammate John Brien added to the ground attack by rushing for 17 yards.
The Falcons' McCaw and Samuel Still have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. McCaw has thrown for 2087 yards this season, while Still, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 30 catches for 711 yards. Allen Academy's Schieffer leads the league in rushing yards with 1220.
Tyrone Smith has rushed for 933 yards on 79 carries so far this year.
The Rams led TCAL Division I - District 2 (6 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 67 points on Live Oak Classical. Schieffer caught five passes for 73 yards in the win.
