In what's become a running theme this season, the Victory Christian Lions gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 68-24 victory over Cullman Christian. With Victory Christian ahead 40-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Bentley Cable was a one-man wrecking crew for Victory Christian as he scored 36 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cable has scored all season. William Wilson-Hueter was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Victory Christian pushed their record up to 16-10 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Cullman Christian, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Victory Christian will take on Jefferson Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Cullman Christian, Cullman Christian and Coosa Christian will face off at 6:15 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Coosa Christian is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
