The Calhoun County Saints's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 93-41 win over Wagener-Salley. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-19.
Calhoun County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayden Wallace led the charge by scoring 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wallace has scored all season. Aaron Fredrick was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Calhoun County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Wagener-Salley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Calhoun County will be home for the holidays to greet Hemingway at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Hemingway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday. Wagener-Salley and Barnwell will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
