The Perry County Vikings stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hughes 58-21 on the road. The win was just what Perry County needed coming off of a 49-29 defeat in their prior game.
Leading Perry County to victory were Maddi Wright and Cianna Wilson. Wright scored 14 points along with five assists, while Wilson scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Wilson hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Kristan Duncan was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Perry County's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Hughes, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Perry County will be playing in front of their home fans against Collinwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Perry County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday. Hughes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
