Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Chisholm Trail Academy

If North Dallas Adventist Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Chisholm Trail Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Max Castro. The Chisholm Trail Academy Blazers strolled past the North Dallas Adventist Academy Sentinel with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 65-50 thanks in part to Castro, who posted 30 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Chisholm Trail Academy's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Weaver, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

North Dallas Adventist Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Boomer Frain and Sebastian Cardoso. Frain dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 boards, while Cardoso went 7 of 16 on his way to 15 points along with seven boards and six assists.

The win (which was Chisholm Trail Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 9-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for North Dallas Adventist Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Chisholm Trail Academy beat North Dallas Adventist Academy by a score of 71-43 on Saturday.
