The Agoura Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Westlake 66-37. While losing is never fun, Agoura can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while Westlake is ranked 50th).
Agoura's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dj Jacob, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals, and Ahmad Razaqi who scored nine points.
Agoura has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Westlake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Agoura will take on Newbury Park at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Newbury Park is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Westlake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calabasas at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
