The Knox Redskins are taking a road trip to face off against the West Central Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Knox will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
On Thursday, Knox made easy work of LaVille and carried off a 15-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Redskins, who have now won six matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Bethany Barnes was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Kendra Linscott also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Knox hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past South Newton 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since April 19th.
Jalie Glasford made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Glasford was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cassidy Lattimore, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Macie Allen was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
West Central has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Knox, their record now sits at 8-11.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Knox hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. However, it's not like West Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Knox beat West Central 4-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Will the Redskins repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
