The C. Milton Wright Mustangs won the last time they faced the Elkton Golden Elks, and things went their way on Monday too. C. Milton Wright walked away with a 44-36 win over Elkton.
Several Golden Elks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was LeeAnn Pugh, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brynn Jefferson, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
C. Milton Wright's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Elkton, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-9.
C. Milton Wright will take on Fallston at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Fallston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Monday. As for Elkton, they will head out on the road to face off against Glasgow at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
