Another player making a difference was Gage Peace, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Scott posted their closest win since May 17, 2025 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over Newport Central Catholic.
The team relied heavily on Eli Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Scott is undefeated when Smith posts two or more runs, but 0-6 otherwise. Blake Groneck was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Scott's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for St. Henry, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
