If the Leipsic Vikings were feeling good off their 48-10 takedown of the Continental Pirates last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Leipsic ended up on the wrong side of a tough 39-14 walloping at the hands of Allen East on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Leipsic has scored all season.
Rilynn Jones was her usual excellent self, scoring 13 points along with seven steals and six rebounds for Allen East. Jones hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Savana Brooks was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Leipsic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Allen East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.
Leipsic will be playing at home against Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Allen East, they will head out on the road to take on Lincolnview at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
