The Fulton Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Marshall Owls at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Fulton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 66-50 fall against Hannibal.
Meanwhile, Marshall's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Mexico 70-40. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Marshall in their matchups with Mexico: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Marshall saw an underclassman step up: Brody Kueker scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds. Kueker scored a full 30% of Marshall's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Chase Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Hermann's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Fulton's defeat dropped theirs to 1-3.
Fulton took their win against Marshall when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 71-46. Will Fulton repeat their success, or does Marshall have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
