Cleveland (Clayton, N.C.) extended its winning streak to six games with a 33-13 victory over
Grays Creek (Hope Mills, N.C.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on an
Aaron Farmer touchdown pass to
Greg Tyler in the first quarter, the Rams led 19-7 at the half.
Cleveland grew its lead to 19 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by
Isaac Martin.
Coming into the game the Clayton school had allowed 29.1 points per game this year. A defensively strong the Rams kept the Bears well below the 22.5 points it had been averaging per game.
