Grants was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Gallup on Wednesday. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Bengals. Considering the Pirates have won 12 matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Grants' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Gallup, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

Grants will square off against Los Lunas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gallup does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
