It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Archbishop Carroll Bulldogs ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Palmer Trinity and snuck past 66-63. The victory was just what Archbishop Carroll needed coming off of a 71-44 loss in their prior contest.
Archbishop Carroll got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luka Vlahovic out in front who scored 24 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Diego Astudillo, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Archbishop Carroll's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Palmer Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop Carroll will face off against TERRA Environmental at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palmer Trinity, they will head out on the road to challenge Pine Crest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
