The Lake George Lakers won the last time they faced the Fort Ann Cardinals, and things went their way on Friday too. Lake George took down Fort Ann 65-47. Given Lake George's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Fort Ann is ranked 758th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake George to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Welch, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Clark, who scored 16 points.
Lake George pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. Lake George will play host again and welcome Mechanicville, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Mechanicville's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Fort Ann, they will head out on the road to square off against Schroon Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
