Fairhaven suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of Seekonk by a score of 46-43. Fairhaven has struggled against Seekonk recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, West Bridgewater's seven-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They took down Case 60-42. The victory was all the more spectacular given West Bridgewater's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while Case is ranked 107th).
Fairhaven's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for West Bridgewater, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8.
Fairhaven was able to grind out a solid victory over West Bridgewater when the teams last played on January 2nd, winning 59-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairhaven since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
