The Hillsdale Falcons will take on the Dalton Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Hillsdale is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over Crestview. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The result came thanks to Keira Filius's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Hillsdale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiki McFadden, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Hillsdale hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive matches.
Three must be Dalton's lucky number: they beat Canton Central Catholic with that score not once but twice on Wednesday. The Bulldogs beat the Crusaders by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on four straight.
Mei Simmons spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up 15 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Arabella Wenger, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Dalton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hillsdale, their record is now 19-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Hillsdale hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Dalton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Hillsdale came up short against Dalton in their previous meeting back in April, falling 7-4. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
