After a string of three wins, Murdock's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a grim 8-42 defeat to Oxford. If Murdock were hoping to take revenge for the 14-42 loss against Oxford the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
The defeat dropped Murdock's record to 3-1. The win bumped Oxford's record up to 3-0.
Murdock are packing up and heading on the road for their first away contest this season. They face off against Gardner next week at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games. Oxford will be defending their home turf for the first time when they go up against South Community/University Park/Claremont Academy at 7:00 PM. Oxford are cruising in on a three-game winning streak while South Community/University Park/Claremont Academy are stumbling in off of three consecutive losses.
