It was a good run, but the Boyertown Bears unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Fleetwood 43-39. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Boyertown has scored all season.
Boyertown lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jack Greaves, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Greaves is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Trey Kern was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Boyertown's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-1. As for Fleetwood, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Boyertown will head out on the road to face off against Owen J. Roberts at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Fleetwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oley Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
