Bridges Prep and Allendale-Fairfax are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The Bridges Prep Buccaneers will head out on the road to square off against the Allendale-Fairfax Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Bridges Prep will be strutting in after a win while Allendale-Fairfax will be coming in after a defeat.
Bridges Prep put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past Royal Live Oaks Academy 76-22 on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bridges Prep.
Bridges Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from X Butler, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Butler has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Q Young, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, Allendale-Fairfax's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 53-44 to Manning. While losing is never fun, Allendale-Fairfax can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Manning is ranked 105th).
Bridges Prep is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Allendale-Fairfax, they bumped their record down to 3-13 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Bridges Prep came up short against Allendale-Fairfax in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 61-55. Can Bridges Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
