Charles City are packing up and hiking across state lines for their contest on Friday. They will challenge LaPorte on the road at 7:00 PM. Charles City have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Last week, Charles City had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 21-9 win over New Hampton.
Meanwhile, LaPorte found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 8-38 punch to the gut against Valparaiso. LaPorte were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-31.
Charles City's victory lifted them to 1-1 while LaPorte's loss dropped them down to 0-3. We'll find out if Charles City can add another positive mark to their record or if LaPorte can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Charles City's step.
