The Abington Galloping Ghosts will be home for the holidays to greet the Quakertown Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Abington will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Saturday, Abington was able to grind out a solid victory over Pennsbury, taking the game 54-45. Given Abington's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Pennsbury is ranked 178th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Quakertown beat Hatboro-Horsham 59-48 on Friday.
Abington is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Quakertown, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Everything went Abington's way against Quakertown when the teams last played back in February as Abington made off with a 68-48 win. Does Abington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Quakertown turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
