Catholic Central put another one in the bag  on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with  a   26-14  win over the King Crusaders. Given the Shamrocks' advantage  in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked second, while the Crusaders are ranked 42nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
A big part of Catholic Central's  victory came down to the chemistry between  Duke Banta and his top target  Samson Gash. Banta threw for 189 yards and a pair of  TDs on only ten passes while  Gash gained 78 total yards and a touchdown. Gash also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making two total tackles and defending two passes.
 Catholic Central's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB  five times. Leading the way was  Jack Janda with  two sacks.  Brandon Bartolucci was another major factor on D,  picking up  a  sack, forcing one fumble,  and making five total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Catholic Central's record is now 9-0. As for King,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-4.
As of now, neither Catholic Central nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
