The Milpitas Trojans were the 46-41 winner over the Palo Alto Vikings when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Milpitas took a hard 48-33 fall against the Vikings on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Milpitas has scored all season.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dylan Nguyen, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Wrencher, who scored ten points.
Milpitas has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season. As for Palo Alto, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.
Milpitas will head out on the road to face off against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain View will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Palo Alto, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Gunn's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
