Germantown has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.
Germantown can attribute much of their success to Jaycee Mani, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and six steals, and Danica Gosz, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Mani is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Lucy Leininger was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five assists and five steals.
Meanwhile, Hamilton came up short against Brookfield East on Friday and fell 56-44. Hamilton has struggled against Brookfield East recently, as their matchup on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Germantown pushed their record up to 17-5 with that win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.1 points per game. As for Hamilton, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
Germantown strolled past Hamilton in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 74-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Germantown since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
