Brooklyn and Fairview are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Brooklyn Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the Fairview Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. Brooklyn will be strutting in after a victory while Fairview will be coming in after a defeat.
Brooklyn scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Medina Christian Academy 67-26 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-13.
Meanwhile, Fairview's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 64-23 loss at the hands of Trinity. While losing is never fun, Fairview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 641st, while Trinity is ranked 273rd).
Brooklyn is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-14 record this season. As for Fairview, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
Brooklyn came up short against Fairview when the teams last played back in January, falling 61-55. Can Brooklyn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
