After flying high against the Harris County Tigers last Tuesday, the Northside Patriots came back down to earth. Northside took a 64-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Drew. Northside was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Drew apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on January 5th.
Despite the loss, Northside still got an impressive performance from Barrington Adams, who scored 18 points. Adams has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Saylor, who scored nine points.
Northside's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Drew, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-15.
Northside will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Hardaway at 2:30 p.m. Hardaway presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northside in Georgia (Hardaway is ranked 142nd, while Northside is ranked 439th). As for Drew, they will head out on the road to challenge Arabia Mountain at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Arabia Mountain is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 63.4 points per game.
