Baseball Recap: Kuna Takes a Loss

After flying high against Flowing Wells on Friday, Kuna came back down to earth. The Kavemen fell just short of the Eagle Mustangs by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Kavemen haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Jackson Edwards and Max Sperry stepped up to the plate in a big way. Edwards went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI, while Sperry went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Kuna is 4-1 when Sperry posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Woodson Murray, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Kuna's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Eagle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Kuna has already played their next contest, a 5-0 victory against Timberline on the 26th. As for Eagle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 19-6 win against Boise on the 27th.
