Neville is 2-8 against West Monroe since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Neville Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Monroe Rebels at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Neville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-55 to Peabody. While losing is never fun, Neville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Peabody is ranked third).
Meanwhile, West Monroe earned a 55-46 win over Ouachita Parish on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for West Monroe.
Neville has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season. As for West Monroe, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Neville didn't have too much breathing room in their match against West Monroe in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 51-47 victory.
