Even though the Wolfe County Wolves scored an imposing 57 points on Saturday, the Russell Red Devils still came out on top. Russell walked away with a 69-57 win over Wolfe County. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Russell.
Russell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Noah Quinn, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. Quinn continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Caleb Rimmer was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Russell now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Wolfe County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Russell and Lewis County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Wolfe County, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Owsley County at 7:30 p.m.
