Peoples Baptist Academy walked away with a 35-28 win over Bible Baptist Christian on Tuesday. For Peoples Baptist Academy, this counts as revenge for the 50-24 defeat Bible Baptist Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
It was another big night for Emma Satterfield, who scored 23 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Peoples Baptist Academy's points. Kaitlynn Dorsey was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Despite the loss, Bible Baptist Christian saw an underclassman step up: Lia Lee dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 steals. Lee is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Peoples Baptist Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Bible Baptist Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
After both having extra time off, Peoples Baptist Academy and Kings Way Christian School will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Kings Way Christian School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Bible Baptist Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Victory Baptist at 6:15 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
