The Piqua Indians will head out on the road to take on the Troy Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Troy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Piqua, who comes in off a win.
Piqua had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Greenville by a score of 47-40 on Friday. The win was just what Piqua needed coming off of a 58-38 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Troy pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bellefontaine. Troy's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Piqua's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-16. As for Troy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Piqua skirted past Troy 50-47 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Piqua since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
