The Spanish Fork Dons will take on the Desert Hills Thunder at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Spanish Fork had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Pleasant Grove on Thursday. The Dons were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Vikings. The Dons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by ten runs or more this season.
Anaca Olsen looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Paizley Boman was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Lia Higginson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Spanish Fork kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Desert Hills had already won 16 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it 17 on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 10-6.
Lulu West was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Kamri Yergensen was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Bailey Lee, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Desert Hills' win bumped their record up to 24-2. As for Spanish Fork, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Spanish Fork has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Desert Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.3 hits.
