Triton Central is 2-7 against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Triton Central Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Triton Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Thursday, Triton Central slipped by Covenant Christian 45-44.
Triton Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Max Crouse led the charge by scoring 16 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Eli Sego, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter over Beech Grove in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter blew Beech Grove out of the water with a 75-48 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter had established a 23 point advantage.
Devin Bolden was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marshawnn Henderson, who scored 17 points.
Triton Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.
Friday's contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Triton Central have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 49.2% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter struggles in that department as they've made 43.5% of their threes this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Triton Central didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 65-59 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter's Mikial Miller, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
