It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Branson/Kim Bearcats can now relate to. They were outmatched by Otis on the road and fell 61-18. Branson/Kim was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-6.
Despite the loss, Branson/Kim still got an impressive performance from Kolter Cranson, who picked up 90 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown. Cranson hasn't dropped below sixsolo tackles for five straight games. Brock Doherty also helped out as he racked up 124 rushing yards.
Mitchell Stivers was a one-man wrecking crew for Otis as he rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Sawyer Packer also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Branson/Kim's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Otis, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Branson/Kim does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Otis will square off against Cheyenne Wells at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cheyenne Wells is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
