Crown Point can bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 48-39 victory over the Lake Placid Bombers. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Lake Placid still got an impressive performance from Anisa Cecunjanin, who posted 23 points. That was a full 59% of Lake Placid's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Ellie Shipman was another key player, putting up ten points.

Crown Point's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Lake Placid, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
