The New Site Royals will face off against the Pine Grove Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. New Site is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
New Site lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Baldwyn, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Royals blew past the Bearcats 10-2 on Friday. Considering the Royals have won nine matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jayden Greene was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Rylan Stanley was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with three RBI and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Rilyn Lambert was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.
New Site was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pine Grove faced off against Biggersville on Friday. The Panthers came out on top against the Lions by a score of 9-5. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.
Like New Site, Pine Grove also got a great game from a two-way player: Ty Clemmer. On the mound, Clemmer tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Ayden Jones didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. At bat, Clemmer went 1-for-4 with one home run, while Jones got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs. That home run was Clemmer's first of the season.
In other batting news, Talen Wilkerson and Trevor Shinall did most of the damage at the plate: Wilkerson went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Shinall got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Riggs Childs, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.
New Site's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Pine Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
New Site beat Pine Grove 5-1 when the teams last played back in February of 2025. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
